BUILDING STRONGER DOGS THROUGH SMARTER TRAINING

Briana and I can now enjoy walks again with Teddy. No more pulling and biting the
leash.

Working with Jesus Romero was the best decision we could have made for ourselves
and for Teddy. We have been working with Jesus since we brought Teddy home at 10
weeks old, and he has trained us on how to be good dog owners as much as he has
trained Teddy. Jesus is always available to us to answer questions and give training
tips. He has always been invested in Teddy’s development.

Teddy has become an obedient and focused dog. We are so happy with the results from
the JR Doberman Crew obedience training program.

After board and train with Jesus, Teddy came back a completely different dog. He is
now calm, well-behaved, and a great listener. He is consistently the best-behaved dog
when we are around others. He is also very calm in the house now, which is something
he had previously struggled with. We can work from home without constantly having to
supervise him. We can bring him to our families’ homes to be around elderly people,
dogs, and babies without worrying about his behavior. We are confident that he will be
good anywhere that we take him.

Improving Teddy’s recall was very important to us. We can now completely trust Teddy
off-leash as his recall is near-perfect, giving us the ability to do so much more with him.

We always board Teddy with Jesus when we are out of town. It is so nice to have
someone we completely trust to care for our dog. Teddy always comes back happy, and
well-cared for. As an added bonus, we don’t have to worry about him picking up any bad
behaviors like he might at a traditional doggy day care.

We absolutely love JR Doberman Crew boarding and training—Yuki loves it even more! Jesus and Clara are her favorite people, and we truly don’t trust her with anyone else; the personalized attention they give her and the consistency in her training make all the difference. She’s overcome her separation anxiety, is calmer and less reactive, and is truly the best girl when we’re out in public. 10000 stars!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience working with Jesus and JR Doberman Crew.
From our first consultation, it was clear that Jesus genuinely cares about both your dog's and your
success. It’s rare to find someone so passionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to what they
do—he has truly been a Godsent for me and my dog, Bodhi.
We initially began with individual training sessions to address barking, lunging at other dogs, extreme
excitability and jumping when visitors arrived, anxiety, selective aggression, and poor recall. Walks were
stressful, keeping me constantly on alert, and planning his daily walks became a challenge. After a few
sessions, Jesus and I both agreed that Bodhi would benefit from more intensive training, and he went on
to complete a 3-week board-and-train program.
One of the things I appreciated most during Bodhi’s board-and-train was Jesus’ exceptional
communication. He consistently kept me updated with videos, photos, and messages, which gave me so
much peace of mind. He exposed Bodhi to a wide variety of real-world environments—walking alongside
other dogs, interacting with kids, accompanying him to work, visiting places like Home Depot and
PetSmart, and much more. Every aspect of Bodhi’s training was clearly intentional and thoughtfully
planned to help him become a confident, well-rounded dog.
The transformation has been incredible, and I am beyond amazed by the results—excessive barking is
gone, lunging is nearly nonexistent, recall has improved tremendously, and guests can now enter my
home without being jumped on. Friends and family cannot get over how calm Bodhi is now. I finally feel
confident enjoying life outside the house with Bodhi. While he occasionally tests boundaries (like any kid
would), Jesus made sure I was fully equipped with the tools and knowledge to handle those moments.
This wasn’t just about correcting behaviors—it was about empowering me as an owner, and Jesus took
the time to ensure I felt confident continuing Bodhi’s training at home.
Even after training ended, Jesus continues to check in on Bodhi’s progress and is always available for
support. This experience was worth every penny, and truly life changing. I am incredibly grateful for
Jesus’ guidance, patience, and encouragement. If you’re looking for someone who is kind, passionate,
knowledgeable, and highly skilled, I wholeheartedly recommend Jesus and JR Doberman Crew—it has
been an absolute game-changer for us.
JR Doberman Crew is also the only place I trust to board Bodhi. I have complete peace of mind in
knowing he is safe, loved, and well cared for, and the fact that he gets excited a mile away when we turn
onto Jesus’ street tells me everything I need to know. By the time we arrive, he leaps out of the car and
runs straight to greet his friend without even looking back. That alone makes me feel confident I made the
right decision.

My name is Joe, and I’ve been involved in animal rescue for over 20 years—working with high-risk shelter dogs, fostering, transport, and adoptions.

In October 2025, my neighbor—just three doors down—tragically took his own life, leaving behind his rescue dog, Kiwi. She meant everything to him. With no one able to take her in, the plan was to surrender her to a shelter. I couldn’t let that happen.

We found a temporary foster, and I took on the responsibility of helping Kiwi find a home—but it quickly became clear how challenging that would be. She pulled so hard on the leash that I injured my shoulder and needed six weeks of physical therapy. She was also dog-aggressive, which made even simple walks stressful and unpredictable.

I tried working with other trainers during meet-and-greet situations with potential adopters, but those experiences only made things worse. There was no structure, no progress, and no clear path forward.

Then I met Jesus at a training facility. We struck up a casual conversation, and I realized this is someone I needed to stay in contact with.

From that first conversation, I could tell he was different—calm, confident, and deeply experienced. Within minutes of our first session, he had Kiwi walking under control on the leash. More importantly, he made it clear this wasn’t a quick fix—it was a process, and he gave me the tools and guidance to do it the right way.

Since working with Jesus, everything has changed.

Kiwi is more balanced, more manageable, and continuing to improve. I’ve become a more capable handler, with a much better understanding of how to read her and handle situations before they escalate. What once felt overwhelming is now something I can manage with confidence.

Jesus didn’t just train Kiwi—he taught me how to work with her. That’s made all the difference.

I can honestly say he’s been a godsend—not only in helping Kiwi progress, but also in advocating for her as she continues her journey toward finding the right forever home.
